Demands, duties, qualifications Definition of work: The Anesthesiologist will function as a key member of the surgical team, responsible for the provision of anesthetic services to surgical patients.Direct involvement in the care of the patient pre and post- operatively, assuming responsibility for pre-admission anesthesia clinics as well as post-operative pain management.The applicant will be expected to administer epidurals to labor and delivery patients and to work an on-call schedule of 1 in 4, including holidays and weekends.The applicant must be willing to work in a team-based, client focused care environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.Required qualifications :? Eligible for registration and licensure as an Anesthesiologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.? Satisfy credentialing requirements of NLHS - Central Zone.? A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.?
