*General Duties*
The general duties of the Prep Cook include learning techniques, standards and systems specific to our environment in order to quickly produce high quality food, both confidently and efficiently. A Prep Cook is responsible for food prep, cooking dishes and other routine kitchen tasks such as setting up the line. Thorough prep is essential for a kitchen to operate well during peak times.
*Primary Objectives *
- Cooking all menu items
- Line set up
- Prep of all required food and sauce items
- Complete kitchen paper work
- Portion control
- Food safety practices (HACCP)
- Features preparation
- Stock control
- Receive orders
- Closing and cleaning at end of shift
- Maintain clear communication with all employees on shift
- Maintain expectations as per ?Guest At Our Party? model in an effort to provide a

- Menu abbreviations
- Food allergies
- Cleanliness standards
*Specific Areas of Responsibility *
*Cooking On Line *
- Be on line ahead of peak times to ensure you are fully prepared
- Ensure the line is fully stocked
- Prepare dishes consistent with Noodlebox food quality standards
- Communicate clearly with Expo and FOH employees
- Anticipate and prepare for peak times
- Never compromise quality for speed
- Communicate clearly with BOH employees if line items need replenishing
- Maintain food safe standards
*Prep *
- Review prep levels prior to starting
- It is necessary to have a clean apron, hair covered, clean towels and a pen
- Always rotate stock; First In First Out (FIFO)
- Clearly label all necessary items with date and your initials
- Load prep into line-ready containers
- Clean and sanitize prep station after every job
*Cleaning *
- Clean as you go as much as possible
- Ensure woks are clean and dry before use
- Maintain a clear line area to ensure all boxes served to customers are clean
- Replace water and sanitizer as needed
- Replace towels as necessary
- Sweep your line area as necessary
*Safety & Food Safe *
- Possess o Food Safe Level 1
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
Additional pay:
* Tips
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Stoney Creek, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
* Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
