<p><b><span>With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.</span></b><br> </p><p>As an Order Picker, you will help continue to grow our online business and customer relationships by taking online customer orders and picking the product ready for customer pick-up or delivery in a timely manner.<br> <br>Position Responsibilities: <br>Pick, organize and verify orders for delivery or pick-up<br>Utilize appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders (training provided)<br>Working in a team environment to support customers at our service desk - includes general customer questions, taking customer calls, operating the cash register and doing product returns for customers<br>Utilize computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phone to check inventory, look-up orders and notify customers when product is ready for pick-up <br>Ability to plan ahead for future deliveries and streamline process<br>Experience/Knowledge Required: <br>Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends<br>Computer skills required in order to identify product and vendor information<br>Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required<br>Time management and organizational skills required<br>Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills<br>Ability to read delivery invoices an asset<br>Knowledge of/hands on experience with store products an asset<br>Candidates should be comfortable lifting merchandise to organize for customer pick up<br><br>What sets us apart:<br><br>Health and Dental Benefits<br>Growth and Career Advancement - including Tuition Reimbursement<br>Profit Sharing and Stock Purchase Plan<br>Paid Training & Career Development opportunities<br>10% shift premium (Overnight roles)<br>The Home Depot Core Values - Excellent Customer Service, Creating Shareholder Value, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Taking Care of Our People, Respect for All People, Doing the Right Thing, Building Strong Relationships, Giving Back<br> </p>- LocationNanaimo, BC
