Join us at Extreme Excavation, where your professional journey is more than a career?it's a shared experience within a family-driven culture. *The Opportunity:* *Position: *Heavy Duty Mechanic *Location: *Kamloops, BC *Job Summary* : We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely. *Key Responsibilities* : * Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery. * Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of industrial equipment, including farm machinery and HVAC systems. * Utilize power tools and hand tools for assembly and disassembly of equipment. * Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly. * Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. * Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs. * Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues. * Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment or materials as needed. * Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role. * Strong knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, and industrial equipment maintenance. * Ability to use diagnostic tools and power tools effectively. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Valid driver's license * Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies related to heavy machinery repair. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 ? 50 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Mechanic experience: 5 years (required) * diagnostics: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationKamloops, BC
