*Job Summary* An exciting opportunity to become a dental assistant at a modern, progressive, non-corporate dental clinic in the heart of the Danforth in Toronto. New grads are welcome! Candidates must be HARP certified . Your responsibilities will include assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking x-rays, educating patients on oral hygiene, maintaining records and managing inventory. To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, proficiency in using dental software (Paradigm and Sidexis a plus), and an understanding of infection control protocols. Monday thru Wednesday. Room for advancement for the right candidate. *Responsibilities* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice. *Skills* * Proficiency in dental assisting techniques * Familiarity with dental software (Paradigm and Sidexis a plus) * Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. * Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean work environment. * Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism.
