Nunastar Properties Inc. is actively searching for a highly skilled and motivated *Senior Accountant* to join our dynamic team. *The Opportunity:*
As a *Senior Accountant* reporting directly to the Controller, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing the financial operations. Your unwavering attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and solid financial background will be instrumental in our continued success. We are seeking a consummate professional with excellent communication skills who can efficiently manage multiple tasks, even under tight deadlines, while embracing an innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement.
* *Full Time:* 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
* *Compensation:* $70,000 - $82,000 per annum
* *Position Type:* Permanent, Salaried

*Roles and Responsibilities:*
* Actively communicate and work with the operations team that are in a remote location
* Produce high quality accounting reports
* Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
* Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
* Provide technical support and advice to management
* Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
* Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data
* Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables
* Complete period-end closing procedures and reports
* Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures
* Follow-up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved
* Prepare monthly financial statements and annual operating budgets
*Qualifications and Requirements:*
* CPA designation or currently enrolled in the CPA program preferred
* 3 to 5 years of progressive financial experience, including year-end processing
* Experience in hotel operations accounting is a plus
* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other accounting software
* Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data entry skills
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
