Gleniffer Lake Resort is a premium 751-lot year-round residential/recreational development. Phase 1 is seasonal and Phases 2 through 7 are available for year-round occupancy. When fully occupied in the summer months, Gleniffer Lake Resort is a community of up to 3000 people. We operate our own water and wastewater treatment plants and manage all the roads, infrastructure and services required by a modern community.
Glennifer Lake Resort is looking for a *Full-Time Golf Pro Shop Manager*
As the Golf Courses Proshop Manager at Gleniffer Lake Resort Ltd. you will oversee all Proshop operations and will work alongside our Golf Course Proshop Assistant Manager. In your role you will be responsible for golf course leagues, tournaments, programs and events as well as all Proshop operations and staff. Experience leading a team of 15-20 seasonal employees in a golf course setting would be an asset.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
· Leads planning & execution of all league nights, tournaments, corporate and private events.
· Provide effective leadership and supervision to staff.
· Successful marketing and participation of events.
· In coordination with the Proshop Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the recruitment and selection of 10-25 seasonal employees (March- October).
· Onboarding and training of new employees.
· Ongoing training for employees on golf programs, basic food & beverage service and safety policies.
· Staff scheduling in coordination with Assistant Manager.
· Responsible for creating & following department budget.
· In coordination with Assistant Manager, taking monthly inventories.
· Reviewing profit/loss reports.
· Review and submit purchase orders.

· Strong interpersonal skills- working and communicating with other team members, management, residents, members and patrons.
· Analytical and financial abilities- Essential for managing golf course budget
· Marketing & customer service expertise- Attracting patrons and creating strong professional relationships with employees, patrons, members and residents.
· Strong leadership & team management skills
· Superior organizational skills
· Proven problem-solving abilities
· A high degree of personal initiative.
· Proficiency with computer software as required.
*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*
· A bachelor?s degree in the area of sports administration, business management, education, recreation or related fields is strongly preferred.
· First Aid/ CPR Certification.
· 1-3 years of related experience in development or delivery of sports programs would be an asset.
· Experience with managing 10 or more employees.
· Food & beverage management experience
· Experience with recruiting employees especially in a seasonal capacity.
· Experience with golf software or related programs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ? 44 per week
