Family Ties Association is a recognized and certified agency delivering In-home Family and Youth Support Services in Southern Alberta. Family Ties Association is inviting applications for a casual to fulltime positions working with Children.
Within this role, the successful candidate can set their own schedule with their team and the individuals they serve. Family Ties Association works alongside families who are accessing services through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) as well as Blood Tribe Social Development?s Aiyiikakimaop for Children Program. Providing support to children will take place in Lethbridge, the Kainai Nation, and surrounding communities.
*Duties *
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
* Provide assessment, consultation, and collaborative strategies to families and support staff supporting a child living with a disability.
* Contribute to the development, implementation and progress of a tailored service plan that meets the expectations of the funder, agency, and family.
* Provide support to families in their natural environment, such as home or community setting through Assessments and Individualized Therapy
* Recommend and coach families and support staff to implement and utilize adaptive equipment that will assist with daily living and facilitate independence.
* Provide group coaching and information sessions to the community.

* Be self-directed, autonomous; enjoys working both independently and as part of the team.
* Prioritize, independently manage your own schedule, and meet reporting deadlines.
* Possess excellent oral, written and report writing skills.
* Demonstrate proficiency with Windows based computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Demonstrate flexibility, strong interpersonal and excellent organizational skills.
* Take the initiative in situations of dysregulation of the child or youth and be adaptable with session plan.
* Be creative and innovative with programming and strategy recommendations.
* Maintain absolute professionalism and confidentiality.
*Qualifications*
* Completion of a Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
* Possess active registration and practice permit (in good standing) with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
* Possess a valid driver?s license, an insured/reliable vehicle and is comfortable travelling in-town/out-of-town to schools, in-home or community settings.
* Experience in the Assessment and Treatment of Children and Youth with autism spectrum disorder, motor development conditions, developmental delays or other developmental disorders is considered an asset.
* Passionate to support children and youth with a positive attitude and possesses the desire to celebrate both big and small accomplishments.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 ? 40 per week
