The Portage la Prairie School Division is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pre-Employment Program Teacher.<p> <p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: <p>- Build partnerships with community and business stakeholders to enhance programs for student work experience programming <p>- Develop and implement student specific plans tailored to each student in the program <p>- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation, engagement and job readiness skills <p>- Collaborate with parents, caregivers and support staff to ensure effective communication and support for each student <p>- Organize job shadowing, internships and community-based learning experiences <p>- Monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed to meet diverse learning styles <p>- Provide ongoing assessments and feedback to students and parents/caregivers <p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: <p>- Manitoba Teaching Certificate <p>- Resource or Guidance Certificate preferred <p>- Strong knowledge of student specific planning <p>- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills <p>- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, families, and community partners <p>- Familiarity with vocational training programs and resources <p>- Experience in job coaching or related field(s) <p>- Training in behaviour management strategies <p>- Must hold a valid Manitoba Driver's Licence <p> <p>For more information and to apply, go to Portage la Prairie School Division website and find the online link under CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, https://www.plpsd.mb.ca/careers<p> <p>The Portage la Prairie School Division is committed to ensuring our workforce is representative of all communities, and actively works to support that.
