*Your Opportunity:*
We are seeking a smart, energetic and proactive New Pallet Production Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations. You will work closely with the New Production Manager to oversee the new pallet manufacturing process.
We need someone who can think fast on their feet, is good at multi-tasking, can coordinate jobs and plan for efficiency. You need the confidence to make decisions and must have great people management skills as you will work with many types of personalities in on the production floor.
*Responsibilities*
· Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
· Working on production floor overseeing manufacturing stations, employees and equipment
· Drive forklift to assist New Production Manager
· Coordinate raw materials to be fed to machines consistently and ensure finished goods are removed so productivity levels are kept at peak performance
· Providing support to Production Manager with the planning and execution of raw material cutting lists
· Schedule workstations by prioritizing orders to be manufactured based on shipment time frames
· Perform quality checks, track employee production numbers, monitor safety compliance and cleanliness of work areas
· Manage, motivate and support 20 to 30 employees between 2 shifts across the department
· This role is required to span between both day and afternoon shifts ? 2:30-11:30PM Monday ? Friday
· Analyze production capacity and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency and make recommendations for improvements.
· Prepare reports on production status, inventory levels, and scheduling metrics for management review.
*Additional Assets*
· Experience with running manufacturing equipment and pneumatic tools an asset
· Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the scheduling process an asset
*Qualifications*
· Proven experience in production scheduling and demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of supply chain processes and manufacturing principles.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate potential challenges in the production schedule.
· Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in scheduling tasks.
· Mathematical ability required for estimating and creating production schedules
*Requirements*
· This job requires manual labour, able to lift 60 lbs
· Comfortable in a fast paced, busy, and noisy environment.
· Ability to change requirements on the fly is a daily occurrence
· Availability and willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed
