Peters Excavating is looking for a General Labourer. This position is seasonal full time, until freeze up. Responsibilities: -Responsible for following the policies and procedures of Peters Excavating as set by the management team.-Responsible for positively representing Peters Excavating.-Responsible for participating in the Health and Safety Program.-Responsible for proper care and maintenance of the building, property and assets.-Responsible for the quality of worked performed.-Responsible for participating in training sessions. Requirements: -Willing to work 10 to 12 hour days and Saturday when required.-Equipment operator training would be an asset but not required.-Equipment experience would be an asset but not required.-Mechanical ability an asset but not required.-Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol testing.-CSA/Approved Steel toed boots. Skills and Abilities: -Job task planning and organization.-Decision making.-Working with Others.-Assist equipment operators.-Level earth to fine grade specifications.-Remove rubble and debris from construction site.-Catch basin installation.-Snow removal.-Backfilling.-Excavation.-Fine grading and finishing.-Material handling.-Rough grading.-Sloping and banking.-Stock piling.-Sub-grade excavating.-Able to operate sledgehammers, bobcats, compactors, -concrete saw, jackhammers.-Manual dexterity.-Handling heavy loads.-Repetitive tasks.-Tight deadlines.-Fast-paced environment.
