We manufacture cell towers and electrical transmission towers and all the cool accessories that go with these monsters. We have been doing this for over 90 years and we are constantly evolving and expanding our technology._ _Sound interesting? How would you like to join our team?_ We currently have a need for GMAW and FCAW/MCAW certified *Welders* at our Elmira, ON manufacturing facility. *You will:* * Perform structural welding on cell towers and monopoles. * Read blueprints and engineering drawings to determine layout of the materials. * Operate welding and other machinery in the plant. * Set up, maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed. * Use overhead cranes and other lifting devices as needed. * Follow safe work practices and policies. * Become a proud member of the United Steelworkers Union - Local 13691-01. *You have:* * Professional Certification GMAW, and FCAW/MCAW is required (those without certification may be considered at a lower rate and will be certified as a condition of employment). * Knowledge of welding and manufacturing best practices, safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.). * Experience as hardwire/fluxcore welder (ideally hold a CWB certification). * Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures. * Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.). * Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. * Ability to read and measure using fractions. * Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an asset. You should be within commuting distance to Elmira, ON or willing to relocate at your own expense and must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Trylon is a 3 shift operation (Sunday night through Friday afternoon) and you will need to be available to work any of the 3 shifts (days, afternoons and nights ? non-rotating) and overtime as needed. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: start after the completion of the probation period; includes drug, dental, health care, STD and life insurance. Salary: start at $26.33 per hour (uncertified), CWB Certified welders start at $28.91. Increase after 6 months to $31.44. Progression to Fitter Welder is available with higher pay rates.
