REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Class 5 Drivers License EDUCATION: High school diploma, may require some vocational training. RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience with produce and transportation principles and methods are an asset TASKS: ? Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment ? Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipments ? Pack, seal and label materials to prepare for shipping ? Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments ? Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures ? Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials ? Complete daily shipping and receiving logs ? Liaison with carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for shipping and receiving of materials ? Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and non conformance to specifications ? Maintain shipping and receiving area TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: ? Packaging Tools ? Measurement Tools ? Material Handling Equipment REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: KNOWLEDGE: Shipper/Receiver should have knowledge of health and safety procedures, standards and regulations, transportation principles and methods, basic mathematics and English competency SKILLS: Reading comprehension, time management, strong communication skills *Summary* As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for commercial driving, with a focus on transporting goods efficiently and safely. Your premium skills in forklift operation and freight handling will be essential in loading and unloading cargo. Additionally, your relevant skills in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair will be valuable in ensuring the proper maintenance and functioning of the vehicle. With a Class 5 Licence and proficiency in materials handling, time management, and communication, you will play a vital role in the transportation and delivery of goods to their designated destinations.
