*SECURITY GUARD (Overnights)* Part Time (24 Hrs/Week) Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays 10pm - 6am $16 / hr (Possible increase after completion of a 6 month probation period) *POSITION DESCRIPTION * We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to provide overnight security at a residential building for those aged 50+. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are followed effectively. *Responsibilities* * Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV. * Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other unlawful activities. * Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, assessing threats and taking appropriate action. * Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks. * Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. * Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. * Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries in a professional manner. *Experience* * Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles. * Familiarity with surveillance systems, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response protocols is advantageous. * Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts. * Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Must hold a valid MB Security Guard license. (Please indicate your license number on your resume for verification). * Possess and be able to provide a clear Criminal Record check. (Must be dated within 6 months of application) * Possess and be able to provide a clear Child Abuse Registry check.
