Simcoe County Law Association
Job details
The Simcoe County Law Association (SCLA) invites applications for a new full-time *Library Assistant* role. The SCLA operates a law library in the Barrie courthouse, with three satellite locations in Orillia, Midland, and Collingwood, for the use of Ontario's lawyers.
There's no job like working in a courthouse library - courthouse library staff are called upon to do dozens of different things every day, from frontline duties to high-level legal research, and in this role, you'll experience the whole gamut, developing many new skills that will serve you for a lifetime. In addition to working in the library, you will be supporting the growth of our law association, helping to plan and manage events, programs, and member engagement strategies.
Currently a two-person library, we need a motivated staff person to help support us in some of the areas where we already excel, and to take ownership of some new duties that will expand our library's scope. If you're ready for a role with plenty of opportunity for professional growth, and a broad portfolio of duties where you'll be able to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

* starting salary $19.50/hr - range $19.50-$37.10

*Our library's culture:*
We're a supportive, warm environment, with leadership that helps staff thrive. We're looking for someone who can be a full-fledged member of our team.
