Job Description Weld materials to conform to specified dimensions and standards. Inspect all welds to ensure that they are complete and of good quality, and that they meet the requirement of the relevant specification and drawings. Perform visual and dimensional checks on weld to identify non-conforming (weld length, cracks, craters...) and/or missing welds. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, welding symbols and tape measure. Verify main dimensions for a pre-determined quantity of joists produced (o/o dimensions, c/c holes for shoes and connections, dimensions of shoes, dimension of components, sweep, camber, tilt of shoes...) Add or repair welds (including multi-pass welds) when inspection identifies need. Perform detailing (fitting and assembling) on the job and add or remove accessories to the finished product- LocationMississauga, ON
