Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Air conditioned. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Supermarket/grocery store. Tasks: Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom. Direct customers to location of articles sought. Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items. Maintain computerized stock inventory. Record incoming stock. Stock shelves and display areas. Keep stock clean and in order. Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list. Operate electric palette jack. Provide customer service. Stock refrigerators and salad bars. Maintain stock rotation. Assist in display of merchandise. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Reliability.
