*Job Title:* Content Creator *Sister Company:* North Media Group *Location:* Toronto, Canada (Remote Position) *Job Type:* Part-Time Internship *About Us:* North Media Group is Canada's fastest-growing media/news outlet on social media, connecting Canadians to their cities through a diverse network. Our primary target audience is Gen Z and young millennials, and we strive to distribute content in the most easily digestible way. *Responsibilities:* * Create and host news and entertainment-related content for North Media Group's TikTok and Instagram channels * Keep up to date with local news in different cities in Canada to report on * Use basic editing skills on TikTok to create news-style videos * Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas * Engage with the audience and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner * Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices *Preferred:* * Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media or related field * 1+ years of experience creating content for social media platforms, preferably TikTok and Instagram * Strong writing and communication skills * Basic video editing skills, specifically on TikTok * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines *Benefits:* * Flexible work hours (work at your own schedule) * Opportunity for growth and advancement * Dynamic and collaborative work environment * Gain an initial foothold in the media industry *Examples of Expected Content:* * Example 1: https://www.instagram.com/p/C7Cah--rgrg/ * Example 2: https://www.instagram.com/p/C7If6yqOW66/ * NMG TikTok Example 3: https://www.tiktok.com/@nmgcanada/video/7279816135728532741 Job Type: Internship / Co-op Contract length: 5 months Pay: $16.55 per hour Expected hours: 3 ? 10 per week Benefits: * Flexible schedule * Work from home Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * On call Application question(s): * Are you comfortable on Camera for Tiktok style videos? * Do you have have experience creating Tiktok News style content similar to the examples provided on the posting?
