*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly with children, and possess the skills necessary to provide effective psychological assessments and interventions. This role involves working in a hospital setting, where you will contribute to the mental health and well-being of our patients through evidence-based practices and research.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for patients, focusing on children and adolescents.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
* Provide therapy and counseling services to patients, utilizing various therapeutic techniques.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
* Participate in data collection for research purposes to enhance treatment methodologies.
* Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to psychological practices and patient care.
* Educate patients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
*Requirements*
* Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
* Valid state licensure to practice as a Psychologist.
* Experience working with children in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
* Strong understanding of special education needs and how they relate to psychological services.
* Proficiency in data collection methods for psychological research.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining patient confidentiality.
