We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Full-Time Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in the Property Management Division of CIR REALTY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including managing payments, reconciling accounts, and interacting with tenants and owners daily.
The ideal candidate works efficiently, communicates well, and understands the multi-faceted dynamic of Property management accounting. This person is a quick learner, is proactive, and cares about the work they do. We are an energetic team looking for the right candidate to add to our fun and vibrant culture.
*Key Responsibilities*:
* *Daily Email Management*: Review and respond to accounting-related emails promptly.
* *E-Transfer Deposits*: Handle electronic transfers and record them on multiple platforms
* *Tenant and Owner Ledger Reconciliation*: Reconcile tenant and owner accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* *Accounts Payables*: Process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices.
* *Audit Support*: Assist in audits by preparing and providing relevant financial information.
* *Management Fee Calculation*: Accurately calculate and record management fees.
* *Security Deposit Refunds*: Process and refund security deposits as required.
* *Rent Roll Reconciliation*: Reconcile and submit rent roll data into the accounting software.
* *E-Transfer Acceptance*: Accept and deposit electronic transfers.
* *Credit Card Reconciliation*: Process credit card payments and reconcile credit card accounts.
* *EFT Payments*: Process EFT payments and submit supporting documents to the appropriate approvers.
* *Bank Transfers*: Initiate and reconcile bank transfers for various transactions.
* *Rent Check Deposits*: Accept and deposit rent checks promptly.
* *Non-Resident Payments*: Manage non-resident payments, including setup, opening, and closing of accounts.
* *Financial Statements*: Download and reconcile financial statements regularly.
* *Balance Reconciliation*: Reconcile balances on multiple accounts.
* *Expenses*: Record and reconcile expenses for staff, realtors, and clients.
* *Client Relations*: Communicate with property owners and provide financial statements and updates.
* *Payments & Expenses*: Manage owner payments and related expenses.
* *Salary Transfers*: Process salary transfers for employees.
* *GST Compliance*: Ensure timely and accurate GST filings and payments.
*Qualifications*:
* Proven experience in accounting, property management accounting preferred.
* Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
* Educational background in accounting.
* Proficiency with accounting software; Propertyware experience is an asset.
* Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with tenants, owners, and team members.
