*Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, ensuring that all aspects of the construction process are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a keen eye for quality inspection and a solid understanding of construction equipment, machinery and tools, construction materials, estimating, and quality control measures.
*Duties*
* Lead and manage 1-2 construction crews of 2-4 staff each.
* Lead and manage projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Conduct quality inspections throughout the construction process to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with landscape designer(s), management and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
* Assist estimator with construction estimates, including material costs, labour requirements, and timelines.
* Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly to maintain project schedules.
* Implement quality control measures to uphold high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained prior to commencing work on-site.
* Familiarity with LMN crm considered an asset; will train the right candidate.
* Provide leadership and direction to the construction team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Snow removal and salting in winter months switching to on call 24/7.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of quality inspection processes and standards in the construction industry.
* Proficiency in construction hardscaping techniques, tools, materials.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* A valid driver?s license may be required for site visits.
*This job is physically demanding (working outdoors throughout the season), but very rewarding.*
*Must have reliable transportation to our yard in Vineland, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5pm.*
*Wage to be determined based on experience.*
*Year-round employment beyond the landscaping season as well as a benefits package available for the right candidates.*
