Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Provide customer service. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Accurate. Excellent oral communication.
