Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Urban area. Rural area. Various locations. Construction company. Tasks: Prepare all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Supervise other land surveyors and/or field crews. Supervise the preparation and compilation of all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries. Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties. Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities. Analyze, manage and display data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting. Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment. Field skills experience: Operate survey equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Organized. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?.
