*Overview* We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to handle cash efficiently. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. *Duties* * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. * Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system. * Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care. * Maintain an organized and clean checkout area. * Provide information about products and services to enhance customer satisfaction. * Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly. * Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. * Stock deliveries as they come. * Stock fresh produce as needed. * Evening shift required to broom and mop at end of shift *Requirements* * 6 months of previous grocery store experience is *REQUIRED* * Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. * Proficiency in English and Punjabi. * Previous experience in cashiering or cash handling required * Familiarity with POS systems is desirable. * Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace. * Technical sales experience is beneficial but not required. * Ability to lift heavy weights up to about 50 lbs Shifts will be 6 hours a day for 6 days. Day off will be Monday or Tuesday. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.40 per hour Expected hours: 36 per week Work Location: In person- LocationAbbotsford, BC
