*ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (MOA)*
*Job Overview:*
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of our growing clinic. This role involves managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth patient communication. The ideal candidate possesses initiative, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while addressing the needs of both staff and patients. Preference will be given to candidates who are looking for long-term employment.
*About Our Clinic:*
The Cardiometabolic Collaborative Clinic is a specialist-run, multi-disciplinary clinic that focuses on the management of cardiometabolic risk factors. We can decrease the risk of cardiac events and mortality through patient care and education. Our patients are seen for a variety of conditions such as diabetes, lipid management, weight management, bone health, and more.
Our clinic was accepted into the Consultant Specialist Team Care (CTSC) program. The CSTC program is designed to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of team care models across British Columbia. The successful candidate would be trained as a part of this program and is expected to an integral member of the team long term. We are also currently involved in a Doctors of BC Shared Care proposal to develop this model of care with other specialists and GPs in the field of cardiometabolic health.
*Key Responsibilities:*
? Oversee daily clinic operations such as answering phones, sending emails, and processing faxes.
? Utilize OSCAR EMR and Ocean MD to manage patient data, bookings, referrals, and waitlists.
? Taking vitals and performing ECGs.
? Support clinic providers and physicians by ensuring their needs are met.
? Handle patient inquiries and complaints with sensitivity and professionalism.
? Develop and maintain office policies and procedures to enhance clinic efficiency.
? Manage office supplies and inventory to ensure smooth operations.
*Qualifications:*
? Proficiency in Oscar EMR and Ocean MD, preferred.
? Prior experience in healthcare or medical office management; experience in community and specialist clinics is preferred.
? Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize urgent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
? Ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
? Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information.
? Ability to adapt to a growing and evolving clinic environment.
*Hours:*
? Full-time
? Monday to Friday
Pay commensurate with experience.
Expected hours: 32-40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ? 40 per week
