The Independent Living Housing Society of Greater Victoria (ILHS) is seeking a part-time (25 hours/week) Manager to join our dynamic and inclusive team, where collaboration, innovation and excellence drive our success.
ILHS is a non-profit society that has been offering inclusive and accessible housing options in the community for over forty years. ILHS supports adults with diverse abilities to lead fulfilling lives in the Greater Victoria area, promoting the belief that ?good living starts with home.?
In your role as Manager, you will be responsible for managing a staffed residential community location, developing care plans and ensuring that care and support needs are accurately addressed in daily practice. You will act as a liaison and work in collaboration with medical professionals, and participate in employee hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, and supervision. Auxiliary administration duties include, but are not limited to, accreditation, health and safety, and labour management responsibilities. You will also manage a team of eight Residential Care Workers and be responsible for the site operating budget.

Qualifications:
· At least one-year related management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience including management of a team.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
· Ability to promote a welcoming, supportive and respectful environment for all people.
· Experience in or understanding of the Community Living sector is an asset.
· Valid BC Driver?s License and access to a vehicle with business class insurance during working hours. Class 4 Driver's License is an asset.
