Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Nursing education. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Administer medications. Apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing. Conduct specimen collection. Ensure infection control. Monitor nutritional intake. Take vital signs. Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team. Provide nursing care. Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. Medical specialization: Nursing. Security and safety: Immunization records. Tuberculosis test. Vulnerable sector check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
