Reporting to the Regional Director Physical Infrastructure Support, the Regional Manager Biomedical Engineering Services & Captial Equipment will be responsible for the provision of biomedical services and capital equipment purchases for the entirety of Western Zone. He/she will function as the primary technology leader for the biomedical area of the department. The Manager develops, directs, organizes and manages the overall biomedical support operations, in addition, he/she will work with clinical departments in the provision of biomedical services through in-house staff and contracted services and acts as the department's lead in new equipment acquisition, installation, modification and/or removal and may directly oversee the progress of such projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of all capital equipment purchases for the Western Zone to ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals & objectives in line with the Provincial Capital planning for NLHS. Management collaboration with other zones will be required on standardization of processes.The successful candidate must demonstrate the key skills, behaviours, abilities and knowledge as outlined in the five domains of the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework. Strong decision-making, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills are considered essential.
