Reporter-Editor - Broadcast/Newscaster (Full-Time) Toronto, ON Add your voice to the broadcast team at The Canadian Press, Canada's trusted news leader. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time newscaster position. This role involves shift work, including evenings and weekends, and will be based in our Toronto newsroom. Responsibilities: · Write hourly National News roundups, wrapping up the top stories. · Prepare and deliver a solid, contemporary newscast. · Record audio and work with studio editor to send out clips from live/breaking news events. · Write and record voice reports. · Edit stories and newscasts, ensuring quality and adherence to CP style. · Help coach and mentor staff on broadcasting best-practices. · Ideate and pitch story ideas.
