Campbell River Christian School is located in Campbell River, mid-Vancouver Island in British Columbia. We are a vibrant Christian school serving families and students from Campbell River, Comox, Quadra Island, and Sayward. We are currently accepting applications for a part-time, temporary, Careers Education 9 teaching position from January 29, 2025 to June 20, 2025. The successful candidate will have qualifications/skills which include, but are not limited to:<p>- Possession of a valid BC Professional Teaching certificate/diploma <p>- Experience as a teacher of Careers Education<p>- Experience working with Middle Years students (especially Gr.9)<p>- Strong assessment practices and familiarity with the Proficiency Scale of Assessment<p>- Demonstration of and growing understanding of incorporating Indigenous-focused learning<p>- Excellent understanding of and experience using differentiated instruction <p>- Demonstration of excellent teaching practices using current pedagogical best practices<p>- Demonstration of strong classroom management skills<p>- Possession of excellent listening and communication skills<p>- Ability to work closely with staff in a team approach<p>- Evidence of a strong understanding and support of Christian education<p>- Ability to integrate a biblical worldview into all lessons<p>- Must be a practising Christian with a commitment to Christian Education and the Statements of Faith as outlined in CRCS's Statements of Faith as well as the Statements of Faith outlined by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)Salary range (Jan-June): $2,885.88 - $5,412.96<p>Candidates interested in applying for this position are invited to please send:<p>- a cover letter<p>- an up-to-date rsum<p>- a written testimony of their personal Christian faith journey<p>- 3 current references including a reference or contact info from a pastor/minister of the Christian church they presently attendPlease send these to Brnice MacKenzie at principal@crcs.bc.ca.
