Responsibilities of a CHS Teacher Bring a student-centred, inquiry-based and collaborative approach to the delivery of the B.C. curriculumSupport the growth and development of individual learners through the delivery of the Crofton House School Ivy Compass and Advisory programWork collaboratively with teachers in the Senior School to plan, develop, and implement an extraordinary learning experience for each individual studentBuild relationships with teachers and staff across the school communityBe an active and positive participant in the co-curricular programComfortable teaching courses from grade 8-12 Fully engage in the CHS Teacher Professional Growth PlanQualifications, Knowledge, Experience: Essential : B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification qualification criteriaRelevant university qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Education plus Bachelor of Arts in English, or equivalent)Graduate degree, an assetA comprehensive understanding of current educational practices outlined in the BC Ministry of Education documentsKnowledge of the Harkness method, an assetUnderstanding of Standards-Based Learning/Assessment', an assetExperience in an independent school, an assetDemo- LocationVancouver, BC
