.<p>The Systems Administrator manages the operations of computer systems related to operating systems, servers, and end-user workstations. The administrator demonstrates an understanding of how software behaves in order to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems. The administrator researches new technologies and leverages optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently. Additionally, the administrator performs Service Desk and Deskside Support functions.</p><p></p><p>Essential Functions</p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p><span>1.Builds and maintains web, virtual, and client server environments for the enterprise</span></p><p><span>2.Maintains the operations of all virtual, web, and client systems to ensure availability</span></p><p><span>3.Troubleshoots and resolves any IT service issues related to operating systems and servers</span></p><p><span>4.Partners with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve network related issues</span></p><p><span>5.Follows the systems business impact assessment to prioritize system recovery in the event of a failure</span></p><p><span>6.Trains the technical support staff on solving common systems-related problems</span></p><p><span>7.Builds and implements software standards for servers, operating systems, and end-user workstations</span></p><p><span>8.Leverages optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all computer systems</span></p><p><span>9.Works with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills</span></p><p><span>10.Performs Deskside Support responsibilities for Peak Toolworks, as the Systems Administrator role at Peak Toolworks fills both the Systems Administrator as well as Service Desk & Deskside Support roles.</span></p><p><span>11.Complies with, supports, and enforces Peak Toolworks policies and procedures.</span></p><p><span>12.Communicates and maintains good rapport with colleagues and staff.</span></p><p><span>13.Keeps the Senior Team informed of progress, issues, problems and successes.</span></p><p><span>14.Develops and maintains a positive and professional work environment. </span></p><p><br>Competencies</p><p><span>1.Strong logical and analytical thinker</span></p><p><span>2.Attention to detail</span></p><p><span>3.Ability to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions</span></p><p><span>4.Ability to anticipate risks and mitigate in the moment</span></p><p><span>5.Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus</span></p><p><span>6.Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures</span></p><p><span>7.Communicates effectively: Actively listens to customers and checks for understanding, adjusts communication content and style to meet the needs of stakeholder, models and encourages ideas and opinions.
