The HSE /HR Manager will be responsible for the company Health and Safety program. Which includes but not limited to; conducting audits (company internal COR, ACSA Peer audits, field audits etc.), ensuring company OH&S compliance, working with ownership, management, supervision and crew ensuring company HSE policy/procedures compliance, ensure all required safety training is done when required. Leading incident investigations, hazard assessments, site inspections and observations, preparing reports, promoting a safe work environment, conduct orientations, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Assessing company requirements for staffing working with the other departments and senior management to ensure continuous operation through out the company and all other related HR duties.
Qualifications:
* Preferred - CRSP or OH&S Diploma with 5 years industrial field experience
* Minimum - NCSO with 5 years industrial field experience
* Working knowledge of OH&S policies, standards, legislation and procedures pertaining to the industry.
* Completed CSTS 09/OSSA Regional or CSO training
* Valid ACSA COR Auditor training & certification
* Valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED Certification
* Knowledge to complete initial WCB reporting.
* Working knowledge of maintaining Avetta, ComplyWorks, ISNetworld etc?
* Superior knowledge of Provincial HSE regulations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook)
* Strong planning, organizing and multi-tasking abilities with good written and communication skills.
* Self-motivated, flexible & willing to assist with additional safety related items that may not be part of the initial job description.
* Develop and implement health and safety performance related systems and procedures where required.
* Able to work well with staff, contractors or client personnel
* Must have a proactive and positive communicative approach to the role.
* Proficient in English, verbally and written
* Valid Class 5 Driver?s license with a clean driver?s abstract.
* Trade background or additional industrial experience to the above is preferred.
Company vehicle provided.
Camp or FIFO is not provided with this position.
Wage Negotiable.
