*POSITION SUMMARY*
The *Material Handler/Forklift* is directly accountable to the Production Supervisor on the floor and the Operations Manager.
Able to organize, control and prioritize area of responsibility and to carry out to completion on an agreed timetable and to abide by all Vicwest health and safety rules.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Unloads coils from trucks
· Reviews and completes coil check sheet
· Loads trucks as outlined by the shipping department
· Completes a shipping inspection checklist and hand into shipping department
· Package product for staging or loading
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment
· Completes all safety checks before the start of inspections
· Other duties as required
*EDUCATION, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE:*
· Grade 12 diploma
· ISO quality of standard experience
· Lift-truck license
· Good understanding of computers programs ? MS Office
· High mechanical aptitude
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Good problem solving skills
· Ability to lift 40+lbs.
· Able to distinguish varying colours
