Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Correctional facility. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Survey building locations and levels. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Carpenter Trade Certification. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Judgement. Experience: Experience an asset.
