Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Odours. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Develop specific plans to prioritize. Implement soil fertility programs. Mixing fertilizer. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Weeding. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Maintain work records and logs. Hire and train staff. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Apply the technique of hoeing between the row. Clear fields of wood and stones. Supervision: More than 20 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Overtime required.
