Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Chicken farming. Goat farming. Livestock combination farming. Other grain farming. Dusty. Outdoors. Dairy. Poultry and egg production. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Develop specific plans to prioritize. Diagnose livestock health issues. Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities. Direct farm feed inventory activities . Harvest seedlings. Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly . Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Supervision: 3-4 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
