Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Private practice. Physician's office. Medical clinic. Office of health care professional. Tasks: Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans . Interview patients . Record observations. Review reports from health care professionals to determine patients' current and potential functioning levels. Write progress reports . Perform administrative tasks. Prepare a treatment plan for each patient. Provide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management and treatment. Implement treatment plans. Analyze the patient during the treatments. Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs. Conduct research in the field of specialization. Design specialized therapy programs to maintain, rehabilitate or enhance movement, musculoskeletal functioning and performance in sports, work and recreation. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Order supplies and equipment. Assist health care professionals. Help medical examiner in charge. Assist chiropractor with patient health education. Assist chiropractor with physical examinations. Organize and maintain inventory. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS PowerPoint. MS Windows. MS Word. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks.
