Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Veterinary clinic. Tasks: Bathe and shampoo animals. Clip animal coat. Document animal behaviour. Monitor animal behaviour. Prepare food and feed animals. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Keep records of animals treated. Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals. Supervise helpers. Clean animal ears. Maintain and order supplies. Clip animal nails. Perform dental cleaning on domestic animals. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Veterinary assistant course. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
