The City of North Vancouver requires a regular full-time Property Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Real Estate you will work in a fast paced environment overseeing the City?s Real Estate interests. You will bring experience in negotiations of Real Property, appraisal and land development. Responsibilities include negotiation of licenses, leases, purchase and sale agreements, valuations of Real Estate, land development feasibility analysis. Experience in negotiations with nonprofit groups would also be an asset. You will assist with coordinating operations and programs for the team, coordinating the work of consultants and evaluating findings of independent appraisers. You will prepare and maintain a variety of records, reports, references, files, documents, statistical information, research data and other related materials. These include recommendations for enhancements to City services and ensuring compliance with bylaws, policies and legislation, monitoring the operation of the services, drafting requests for proposal/expression of interest documents and drafting Council reports. In addition, you will perform property management duties related to city owned properties, parking lots and facilities, negotiate and draft leases and licenses, coordinate repairs and renovations for rental properties and oversee related contracted services work. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor?s degree in Real Estate or a related discipline, combined with course work required by the Appraisal Institute of Canada, or a similar organization, to achieve the designation. They will have several years of experience with property appraisal, negotiation and real estate contracts, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will also have considerable knowledge of real estate agreements including licenses, leases, statutory rights of way, easements, and covenants as well as legislation, including the Residential Tenancy Act, Community Charter, Zoning Bylaw, Density Bonus and Community Benefits policy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with MS Office applications, and a valid class 5 BC Driver?s License, are also required. Salary:$48.09 to $56.82 per hour(Pay Grade 27 - January 2024 rates) Hours of Work:The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
