This role offers the opportunity to influence positive change and contribute to the growth and well-being of the community.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Strategic HR leadership:</strong> develop and implement Human Resources strategies, participate in organizational strategic planning with department Directors, and collaborate with the Director of Administration and Chief & Council on overarching goals.</li><li><strong>Recruitment and onboarding:</strong> manage the full recruitment cycle, including competency-based interviews, candidate testing, and selection recommendations. Oversee employees onboarding, orientation, and training programs.</li><li><strong>Employee relations and conflict resolution:</strong> provide leadership on employee relations, mediate conflicts, manage investigations, and oversee the progressive discipline process.</li><li><strong>Compensation and benefits management:</strong> Lead wage grid, conduct salary surveys, and evaluate job positions. Oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring employees are informed and benefits remain competitive.</li><li><strong>HR compliance and policies:</strong> ensure all HR policies, practices, and programs comply with federal and provincial regulations. Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and participate in the development of safe work policies.</li><li><strong>HR database and reporting:</strong> manage HR databases, personnel files, and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Provide regular updates to the Chief & Council on HR matters.</li><li><strong>Training and development:</strong> plan and deliver training workshops for managers and employees, focusing on performance management, employee development, and workplace improvement.</li><li><strong>Budgets and financial management:</strong> develop and manage the HR department's budget, providing quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports for the Director of Administration and Chief & Council.</li><li><strong>Community and emergency services:</strong> participate in community events and support the Band?s emergency services as needed, with flexibility to adjust duties during emergencies.</li><li><strong>Administrative and reporting duties:</strong> oversee policy manual reviews, conduct job analysis, attend council and Health and Safety meetings, and support event planning and reporting.</li><li><strong>Additional responsibilities:</strong> perform other related duties as required, including supporting special projects, attending meetings, and contributing to initiatives in line with policies and operational needs.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Position Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Defined career growth opportunities with a clear path for advancement and professional development.</li><li>Extensive health and dental coverage, ensuring comprehensive care for you and your family.</li><li>Commitment to proactive work-life balance, supported by flexible policies and a supportive workplace.</li></ul> <br> <p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, or a related field, is highly preferred.</li><li>CPHR designation is a strong asset.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent overall technical skills.</li><li>A minimum of five years of HR generalist experience, including at least three years leading an HR team in a managerial capacity.</li><li>Extensive experience with HRIS systems is mandatory.</li><li>Prior experi
