Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Team player. Experience: Will train.
