Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Geriatrics. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Clean and maintain equipment. Maintain supplies. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Schedule and confirm appointments. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Medical specialization: Kinesiology or human kinetics. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Walking. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
