We are growing our Manufacturing team and are searching for an experienced Shipper/Receiver to join Norscan. Reporting directly to the Office Manager the Shipper/Receiver will receive and inspect all incoming materials; perform final inspection, package and ship product; and maintain inventory.
Duties and responsibilities of this role include:
* Receiving, inspecting, and recording all incoming materials.
* Proactive preparing/packaging of product and arranging for shipping.
* Keeping up to date on current customs and shipping requirements.
* Maintaining inventory of all raw material and finished product, shipping supplies, and floor stock products.
* Ensuring accurate inventory recording through regular cycle-counting.
* Pulling and labeling parts for job orders to be assembled by Manufacturing.
* Assembling specified sub-assemblies and final assemblies using the work procedure related to the product and parts provided in the kit that is detailed on the job order.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications or equivalent combination of experience, education, and skills:
* Graduation with a Grade 12 high school diploma. Completion of course(s)/certification(s) covering shipper/receiver, formal inventory control, and/or warehouse training is an asset.
* At least two years of experience receiving and shipping experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of national and international shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
* Experience/strong working knowledge of computerized shipping and receiving systems; shipping software packages such as UPS; and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Detail oriented, organized, and accurate.
* Strong team player.
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
* Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
* Able to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Pay: From $16.43 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
