Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Factory or plant. Tasks: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Forklift Operator Certification. Area of work experience: Production. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Judgement. Reliability.
