Ayr Welding is a multi-service trade company with nationwide experience. We are a one-stop solution providing a wide range of services. This includes pipe welding, custom fabrication, millwrighting, pressure piping, equipment handling, and piping system installations.

*What is a millwright apprenticeship?*
A Millwright Apprenticeship is an opportunity to learn on-the-job from a senior worker, as well as in-school training. The apprenticeship program is approximately 4 years, consisting of 7,280 hours of on-the-job work experience and 3 levels of schooling.
*You will learn to:*
* Align machines and equipment.
* Assemble and install equipment.
* Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
* Dismantle and move machinery and equipment.
* Conduct preventative maintenance and repair.
* Ability to organize and layout work according to blueprints, diagrams, or drawings.
* Troubleshoot equipment, electrical components, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems.
* Follow and lead safe work practices.
* Meet project deadlines.

* High School Diploma
* Interest in the trades
* Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.

*What is the working environment like?*
*Working Conditions*
This position includes:
* Working in construction/customer sites
* Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and crouch
* Core hours include: Monday- Thursday 7:00-5:00 and Friday 7:00 to 1:00 pm. Note: hours and location of work will change based on customer/project needs.
* Ability to work extra hours to accommodate project deadlines

* Public transit is not available.
This is a Permanent Fulltime position. A work week consists of 44 hours. Overtime is required occasionally. Compensation is based on experience and ability. The range is $20-25/hour.
