Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Prepare patients for dental examinations. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Take and develop X-rays. Record dental procedures performed on patients. Polish and buff dentures. Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Healing arts radiation protection (HARP) Certification. Membership in the Canadian Dental Assistants Association. Registration with provincial or territorial authorities. Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Windows. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.- LocationNorth York, ON
