Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Animal shelter. Kennel. Associations and non profit organizations. Tasks: Prepare food and feed animals. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Keep records of animals treated. Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals. Clean animal ears. Clip animal nails. Provide emergency services. Provide basic information to clients and the public. Obtain and process information required to provide customer service. Maintain work records and logs. Operate switchboard or telephone system. Receive and issue payments. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic medical records. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Reliability. Team player. Organized.
