We?re looking for an Agency Manager looking for a new challenge - leading a new online travel agency in Toronto - that?s 15 years young!
Global Journeys is an award winning, full service online travel agency (OTA), that specialises in multi-day tours, ocean cruises and river cruises from over 50 of the world?s leading operators and cruise-lines.
Unlike most OTA?s we operate a truly blended model - maximising the efficiencies and flexibility of booking online, but also assigning dedicated advisors to help every potential client book and organise their holiday.
Our head office opened over a decade ago on the sunny coast in Australia and now we?ve just launched our North American office right in the heart of Toronto!
We?re looking to develop a team of the best travel advisors in Canada, and we?re looking for a hands-on manager to train, support and lead that team.

*What you?ll be doing*
* This role is hands-on - we?re hiring a new team of advisors, moving into new premises and ingratiating ourselves into the Canadian and US travel industry, so you?ll need a ?have a go? attitude and be open and flexible to change.
* You?ll help recruit and train our new team of travel advisors
* You?ll manage the team?s performance by providing leadership and mentoring and support to ensure we reach our company goals
* You?ll assist with any booking issues and help to resolve customer complaints and complicated requests
* You?ll liaise, support and collaborate with management, marketing, accounting and IT teams here and in our Australian office
* You?ll maintain and help define any issues with our in-house CRM platform (SitePlanit)
* You?ll liaise with BDM?s to organise online and in-house advisor training
* You?ll liaise with our partners in sourcing travel offers & deals
* You?ll manage advisor enquiry levels, annual leave,sick leave and famils
* Initially you?ll manage group enquiries
* To maintain ongoing awareness of our CRM, client and advisor needs you?ll perform predefined tasks in the role of an advisor
* You?ll assign and/or deal with all emails and correspondence sent through general channels

* You?ll be commutable to our downtown office, located opposite Union Station, in Toronto
*Experience *
* Minimum 3 years travel industry experience, preferably in a similar role
* Management, supervisor or team lead experience
* TICO Supervisor Certified
* Experience using a GDS system, preferably Amadeus
* Excellent land supplier and cruise line industry knowledge
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills
