DescriptionThe Canada Head of Government and Industry Affairs for Corteva Agriscience will lead the company's government, industry, and public policy advocacy efforts across Canada, ensuring alignment with Corteva's business objectives. This role demands a deep understanding of the Canadian political landscape, exceptional political acumen, and strategic insight to navigate complex regulatory environments. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in coordinating and advocating for Corteva's seed and crop protection public policy initiatives globally, ensuring cohesive communication and policy strategies across regions. This is a remote position where you will be required to be within a commutable distance to Ottawa. What You'll Do: * Government Relations and Advocacy (Canada): * Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy that leverages political expertise to advance Corteva's policy interests in Canada. * Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with federal, provincial, and local government officials, using political acumen to influence policy decisions and legislation affecting Corteva's business. * Represent Corteva at industry associations, government committees, and public forums, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of policy and political dynamics to advocate for the company's positions on key issues. * Monitor, analyze, and anticipate political, regulatory, and policy developments in Canada, providing strategic advice to senior leadership on potential impacts to Corteva's operations. * Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and government relations activities, utilizing strong political judgment and insight. * Industry Affairs (Canada): * Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including trade associations, agribusiness organizations, and academic institutions, with a keen understanding of the political, policy, and regulatory landscape. * Collaborate with industry partners to address common challenges, such as sustainability, innovation, and trade, employing political expertise to navigate complex issues. * Advocate for Corteva's leadership in industry forums, promoting the company's contributions to Canadian agriculture and sustainability with a strong focus on public policy and political advocacy. * Corporate and Community Investment: * Lead and manage Corteva's corporate and community investment strategy in Canada, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and values. * Oversee sponsorships, memberships, and contributions to key agriculture industry and trade associations, ensuring these investments advance Corteva's strategic objectives. * Develop and execute outreach initiatives to enhance Corteva's presence in Canadian agriculture communities and foster strong relationships with local organizations and stakeholders. * Seed and Crop Protection Advocacy: * Serve as a lead coordinator for seed innovation and crop protection advocacy, ensuring consistent messaging and strategies across Corteva's regions by leveraging political expertise. * Lead cross-functional teams to align on seed innovation and crop protection priorities and policy positions, demonstrating strong political insight and strategic thinking. * Represent Corteva in global forums, working with international industry associations and government bodies to advocate for science-based regulations and policies, employing political savvy. * Develop and disseminate best practices for crop protection advocacy across regions, ensuring alignment with Corteva's global strategy and political objectives. *   Leadership: * Provide leadership and guidance to the Canada Leadership Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment informed by political expertise. * Mentor and develop team members, ensuring t
